The First Annual Grandoozy Festival is Less Than Two Weeks Away! Here's Everything You Need To Know

Written by Shannon Shumaker

If you're anything like us, then you can't wait for September 14th and the kickoff of the first annual Grandoozy Festival in Denver, Colorado. Bringing together some of 2018's most exciting artists like Kendrick Lamar, Florence + The Machine, Young The Giant, Stevie WonderLogic and MANY more, Grandoozy promises to be an insane show and amazing, one of a kind experience.

You're not alone if you're excited to see some of your favorite artists or consume as much craft beer as possible (Grandoozy will feature a ton of local craft breweries, too!), but as with any first year festival, it's not a bad idea to do a little bit of research before heading out for the weekend. Unsure of what to bring? Not familiar with everything that Grandoozy has to offer? That's okay! We've got you covered.

So, what exactly is Grandoozy?

Grandoozy is a three day music festival that not only features some of this year's biggest artists and up and coming acts, but also celebrates everything you love about Denver - from food, craft beer and spirits to art, yoga, and the outdoors. In addition to a killer lineup (which can be found above!) Grandoozy also features the following:

30+ local food options
Including but not limited to Illegal Pete's, Sweet Cow Ice Cream, Steuben's, Torchy's Tacos, Generous Coffee and MANY more. A full list can be found HERE

A craft beer experience
Including Denver Beer Company, Wicked Weed Brewing, 10 Barrel Brewing Co., Stella Atoris, Stem Ciders and many, many more. A full list of breweries can be found HERE

Flight School
Featuring Denver distilleries, spirits and cocktails. More information can be found HERE

A daily panel centered around nature and the outdoors, an outdoor lifestyle marketplace & yoga!
What other festival do you know of that you can learn a little, do some shopping and take a break for yoga? Each day offers something a little different at Grandoozy. To lean more about the exciting panels and yoga, click HERE

80's Ski Lodge
Yeah, you heard me right. The 80s Ski Lodge will be rockin' all weekend long with retro DJ sets, a hair metal cover band and more. A full lineup of this particular "stage" can be found HERE

The Break Room
The Break Room is Grandoozy's all-day dance floor. With an eclectic lineup of established and emerging artists, this open-air space will welcome all, casual fan and aficionado alike. Full Break Room lineup can be found HERE

And the best part is, you can take part in all of these experiences, or absolutely none of them. Whatever floats your boat - these are the little things that make Grandoozy much more than just a music festival.

What should I expect?

First and foremost, the festival hours for Friday through Sunday are 1:30pm - 10:00pm. A festival map will be available closer to the show date and full schedule can be found HERE

Grandoozy is located at Overland Park Golf Course, in Denver, CO - just south of downtown Denver and just west of Denver University.

There is no official parking at the festival site and cars parked in unauthorized parking spots are subject to being ticketed and towed. So what's the best way to get to Grandoozy? The festival recommends public transportation, Uber, bike and regional shuttle. The festival does have express shuttle passes available for purchase HERE.

What can I bring?

As with any all-day music festival, don't forget your sunscreen! Although it is September, you don't want to come home with a gnarly sunburn on Friday that you have to deal with all weekend long. And remember, this festival is taking place in Colorado, where it can be in the 80's one moment and pouring rain the next. Keep an eye on the weather forecast and pack accordingly. You'll be glad when you grabbed a poncho "just in case". Wear comfortable shoes as well! If you're going to be standing (or dancing!) all day, you don't want to wear something that'll make your feet sore.

And of course, bring water! Although there are plenty of food and drink options available at the festival, they also allow empty hydration packs, two sealed water bottles and empty reusable water bottles.

According to the festival's website, the following are also permitted and prohibited:

ADDITIONALLY, re-entry is generally not allowed. However, if you absolutely must leave the festival and need to return the same day, you must speak with a supervisor at any festival entrance or exit BEFORE LEAVING to have your ticket scanned out.

Last but not least:

Have fun! Get to know the artists playing this year's festival and discover something new! Branch out and celebrate some great local food and drinks, dance at The Break Room and do some yoga to refresh each day! Grandoozy has so much to offer everyone - take advantage of it!
