Start Your Fall Concert Season with These 15 Must-See Denver Shows in October
The first day of autumn may have only been a week ago, but the fall concert season is certainly in full swing. With countless must-see shows in the month of October, we could have easily given you a show a day to see up until the 31st, but that would be exhausting. So instead, here are fifteen of our most anticipated shows this month, from Knocked Loose’s sure to be explosive headliner this week to SKYBURIAL’s farewell show, K. Flay’s largest headlining show in Denver to-date and A Day To Remember’s first headlining show in Colorado in what feels like forever. There are almost too many shows in Denver alone this month, so which ones are you most excited to see? Let us know in the comments!
10/4 - flor @ The Marquis Theater
LA alt-pop band flor just released their sophomore album ley lines on September 6th via Fueled By Ramen and now, they’re out on tour in support of the release. A perfect lineup from start to finish, the show also features support from Joan and Lostboycrow.
10/4 - Bastille @ Mission Ballroom
Bastille kicked off their North American headline tour last month and will be hitting Denver’s newest venue, Mission Ballroom this month! The band is touring in support of their new album, Doom Days, which was released this summer.
10/4 - Knocked Loose @ Summit
Knocked Loose have quickly risen in the ranks of must-see metal/hardcore acts, so it comes as no surprise that they’re now headlining Summit on their current tour. Tagging along for support are fellow hardcore heavyweights, Stick To Your Guns, Rotting Out, Candy and SeeYouSpaceCowboy.
10/7 - Hail The Sun @ The Bluebird Theater
Hail The Sun are notorious for their energetic live performances, so a show at the intimate Bluebird Theater suits them perfectly. With Strawberry Girls, Royal Coda and Vis in tow, this show is going to be killer from start to finish.
10/8 - Senses Fail @ The Oriental Theater
Senses Fail are currently out on the road in support of the re-release of their debut EP, From the Depths of Dreams. The band will be performing the seventeen-year-old EP from start to finish on this upcoming tour alongside other fan-favorite songs, making this a one of a kind performance that you can’t miss.
10/8 - Sum 41 @ The Ogden Theatre
Apparently, October 8th is a good night to take a trip down memory lane, because if Senses Fail isn’t your jam, then you can find yourself at Sum 41’s headlining show at The Ogden Theatre. The band will be celebrating the 15th anniversary of their multi-platinum album Chuck at this upcoming show, and fans can expect to hear a healthy mix of older songs as well as tracks from the band’s most recent release, Order In Decline.
10/9 - The Faim & Stand Atlantic @ The Marquis Theater
Emerging pop-rock group, The Faim have been rising to stardom this year as well, and following their recently released debut album, State of Mind, they’re hitting the road stateside alongside fellow Aussie band, Stand Atlantic. Both acts have been growing at remarkable speed, making this a show you don’t want to miss.
10/11 - X Ambassadors @ Mission Ballroom
X Ambassadors have had a massive year so far, and it seems like they’re just getting started. Following the release of their new album, ORION, the band released their new single, “OPTIMISTIC,” which touches on gun violence, and recently dropped their “Boom” app, which has created audio-only music video for fans who are blind or have low sight. Now, they’re hitting the road in support of well… everything and it’s safe to say that their live performance is bound to be as mind-blowing as their music and social efforts.
10/12 - Masked Intruder @ Larimer Lounge
Masked Intruder are well known for their energetic, comical and all-around fun performances, making their upcoming show at Larimer Lounge the perfect setting for one of their performances. Incredibly intimate, the small venue promises that you’ll have at least one of the intruders, if not Officer Bradford right up in your face for the majority of the show.
10/12 - K. Flay @ The Fillmore Auditorium
K. Flay has had a massive year so far as well. Following a handful of tour dates and festival performances earlier this year, she dropped her wildly successful new album, Solutions in June and now, is hitting the road on her larger than life headlining tour. In just a few years, K. Flay went from playing The Marquis Theater in Denver, to headlining the larger Summit, and now she’ll be hitting the stage at The Fillmore Auditorium, making this her largest headlining show in Denver to-date.
10/13 - SKYBURIAL @ The Marquis Theater
Denver deathcore heavyweights SKYBURIAL are calling it quits after a little over five years together and will be playing their final show at The Marquis theater this month. They’ll be pulling out all the stops for this upcoming show, so if seeing them one last time wasn’t reason enough to make it out, then maybe some never before seen covers will be…
10/15 - half•alive @ The Gothic Theatre
half•alive have had a whirlwind of a year. Following countless tour dates and festival appearances, the band recently released their new album, Now, Not Yet in August and are planning on ending 2019 with a bang. Earlier this year, they headlined (and sold out) Globe Hall and this time around, the band is playing the much larger Gothic Theatre.
10/17 - A Day To Remember @ The Fillmore Auditorium
A Day To Remember have been to Denver a small handful of times over the past five years, making appearances at the High Elevation festival in 2017, Riot Fest in 2014, and opening for Blink-182 in 2016, but the band hasn’t properly headlined in Colorado in well over six years, so it’s safe to say that their upcoming show at The Fillmore has been highly anticipated. With a stacked lineup consisting of Beartooth, I Prevail and Can’t Swim as well, this show promises to be one of the best of this fall.
10/29 - Matt & Kim @ The Ogden Theatre
Matt & Kim are bringing their 10 year anniversary tour to The Ogden Theatre this month! Known for their joyful and energetic live performances, it’s safe to say that the duo plans to pull out all the stops for this upcoming show. They’ll also be playing their breakout album GRAND in full, including hits “Daylight” and “Lessons Learned” plus fan favorites, some of which they've never played live before.
10/31 - Itchy-O’s Hallowmass @ Summit
This wouldn’t be a list of shows in October without mentioning Itch-O’s Hallowmass at Summit. A two day spectacular, spanning from Halloween to November 1st, this upcoming show is simply something you have to see to believe. In fact, it’s less of a show and more of an interactive experience. Don’t believe us? Check out the photos from Hallowmass two years ago HERE.
