School might be starting soon and most of this year’s festivals have come and gone, but that doesn’t mean that the summer concert season is winding down. Throughout the month of August, there are countless of must-see shows hitting some of Denver’s most intimate venues, from The Marquis Theater to Summit’s Moon Room and even Globe Hall and Larimer Lounge. Also coming this month is the grand opening of Denver’s new venue, Mission Ballroom, which will host some incredible shows, including the grand opening, featuring The Lumineers and later this month, Phantogram.

Everyone got a sneak peek of the new Mission Ballroom last week when Chevy Metal played their soft opening, but the grand opening of the stunning new venue will be this month with none other than The Lumineers. It’s the perfect kick-off for what promises to be one of Denver’s best new venues.
8/9 – Oh, Sleeper @ The Marquis Theater
Oh, Sleeper will be bringing their headlining tour to The Marquis Theater early this month, and the lineup is stacked, including Famous Last Words, Convictions, Empty, Under Auburn Skies and Bodies We’ve Buried. The upcoming show, which promises to be high energy from start to finish, is in support of the band’s recently released fourth full-length album Bloodied/Unbowed, which was released last month.

Alt-rock band, Night Riots just celebrated the release of their new album, New State Of Mind last month and now, the band is bringing their energetic live show to the intimate Moon Room at Summit. 8/15 – Spencer Sutherland @ Globe Hall
Soulful pop singer-songwriter, Spencer Sutherland, will be headlining Globe Hall this month. This spring, he released his debut EP, NONE of this has been about you, an introspective journey that spotlights his signature tone and falsetto, reminiscent of the 60s with stripped-down 80s-inspired production. This show promises to be one of a kind!
