Lacey are a four-piece Alternative-Rock band from Nottingham on the verge of releasing debut album ‘Under The Brightest Lights’. The record is set to come out on 20th April, following the band’s forthcoming stint on the road with People on Vacation. Chronicling highs and lows in life but ultimately full of optimism and hope, ‘Under The Brightest Lights’ is dripping in pure melody and driven hooks. With influences including Taking Back Sunday, Kids In Glass Houses and Jimmy Eat World, Lacey are continuing a tradition of compelling songwriting you can’t help but sing along to.
The first track to be released from the album is ‘Tonight’ which the band recorded at Steel City Studios having won a competition with Drop Dead Clothing who also enabled Lacey to make a video to accompany the track. This song is particularly poignant as it references a particular evening when the band were sat around talking about their futures and the future of Lacey – “It was the night we made the choice to put everything we had into this,” explains Graham Turner, vocalist and bassist.
