With the first single from their debut album, ‘Tonight’, already garnering some impressive TV and radio play, Notts rock band Lacey are now streaming album track ’The Last Time’ ahead of their full-length ‘Under The Brightest Lights’ being released on 20th April. Initially intended as the opener of the album, it’s a positive track full of ambition and driven hooks, setting out the band’s intentions with poise and an undeniable knack for melody. With influences including Taking Back Sunday, Kids In Glass Houses and Jimmy Eat World, Lacey are continuing a tradition of compelling songwriting you can’t help but sing along to.
Lacey formed in 2010 and have released several EPs in their time as a band, most recently ‘Outlaws’ in September 2013 which was particularly well received. They have toured with US-Pop Punks Patent Pending, Welsh wonders The Blackout and Jaret Reddick’s (Bowling for Soup) People on Vacation (with whom they’ll be appearing again in Feb/March), as well as playing Hit the Deck Festival for two years running. In 2013, they were also finalists in the Red Bull Studios Download Festival competition after being selected from over 100 bands.
