You Blew It! Announce East Coast Tour With Sorority Noise and Microwave

You Blew It! have announced they will be touring this August with Sorority Noise. The tour will begin at Wrecking Ball Fest in Atlanta, GA and continue up the east coast with support from Atlanta locals Microwave. You Blew It! are touring on their EP Pioneer Of Nothing, out now via Jade Tree Records. Sorority Noise will be releasing their sophomore record Joy, Departed via Topshelf Records on June 16th.

The past year has been a whirlwind for You Blew It, who released their critically-acclaimed sophomore album Keep Doing What You're Doing in January of 2014.  Since then, the band has released their Weezer cover EP You Blue It and toured across the globe with the likes of Say Anything, The Front Bottoms and Modern Baseball. Pioneer of Nothing shows a marked maturation from the band, who have very much maintained their anthemic rock sensibilities but have also added a new sense of intimacy and stripped-down immediacy to their songs.  The new EP won early praise from a wide variety of outlets including Pitchfork, Stereogum and Spin.

Boucher started Sorority Noise in late 2013 with friends as an outlet to explore musical styles outside his work in Old Gray. The group then recruited Ackerman and issued their debut full-length, Forgettable, in May 2014. Much buzz—and tours with rising stars Modern Baseball and The Hotelier—followed, as did a split 7” with Somos and the arrivals of Singer (whom Boucher had played with in Old Gray) and McKenna. Joy, Departed, the band's sophomore album and Topshelf Records debut, is more than just the best iteration of Sorority Noise to date; the album also marks a creative shift for Boucher, who draws musical influence from a diverse crop of acts spanning Regina Spektor and jazz trumpeter Chet Baker to The Smiths and Broken Social Scene
