Nekokat are set to release their electric debut EP Communication on June 23rd Washington Square/Razor & Tie.  The EP was produced by Eric Palmquist (Bad Suns, Night Riots). The supergroup consists of The Ready Set’s Jordan Witzigreuter and Cameron Walker, and The Summer Set’s Jess Bowen.  Stream the EP below:

Nekokat’s Communication contains four catchy, feel good tracks. The vibrant combination of Jordan’s electro-pop vocals and Jess’s addictive beats are effortless, bound to get listeners moving.  The trio cites Saves The Day, Passion Pit, and The Cure as music influences. Jordan describes formation as, “awesome because we didn’t have to think about in the way we had to think about projects in the past,” he continues. “It’s really fun and loose, and there are literally no rules. Everything floats out of this collective stream-of-consciousness that the three of us share.”

Jordan W continues to redefine himself and push the envelope, although that spirit has been his signature since day one. The Ready Set’s debut, I’m Alive, I’m Dreaming, landed at #3 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and gave the world the platinum certified smash “Love Like Woe.” The outfit’s first offering for Razor & Tie, 2014’sThe Bad & The Better, floored its diehard fan base and kicked off a new chapter. Since 2009, they’ve shared stages with everybody from Maroon 5 and Carly Rae Jepsen to Cher Lloyd, Boys Like Girls, and more.
