Calexico Debut Live Video For "Tapping On The Line" Ft. Neko Case

Celebrated Tucson, Arizona band Calexico has shared a new video for their song “Tapping On The Line,” a track off their acclaimed album Edge of the Sun.  Featuring backing vocals and guest performance from Anti- label mate Neko Case, the video was shot live at Flora Recording & Playback in Portland, OR during a brief stop on the band’s tour this past July with The Decemberists.

Frontman Joey Burns commented, "One of the joys of touring is running into old friends. When we were last in Portland we got to hang out with the wonderfully talented Neko Case. We've had the honor to record and play shows with Neko for the last 15 years so it was a big joy to reunite at Flora to film a live version of "Tapping On The Line.”
For the better part of two decades, Calexico has crossed musical barriers, embracing a multitude of styles, variety in instrumentation, and well-cultivated signature sounds. On Edge of the Sun, Calexico find inspiration from a trip to a place surprisingly unexplored by the band before in Mexico City, and with the benefit of many friends and comrades including Sam Beam (Iron & Wine), Ben Bridwell (Band of Horses), Neko Case and many more.
Critical Acclaim For Edge of the Sun:
“One of the hookiest, most-satisfying albums of their career.” - Magnet
"’Edge of the Sun’ sounds newly invigorated and inspired as Calexico reconsider their own past and find new music to explore." – Pitchfork
"As restless as ever, the band is pushing at expectations, exploring without repeating. The result is as engaging and sophisticated as anything in their rich catalog." – Los Angeles Times
"It's too early to tag ‘Edge Of The Sun’ as the band's masterpiece, but song for song, it's the most textured and dimensional Calexico record" – NPR
