The FADER are sharing an advance album stream of Spencer Radcliffe's upcoming full length debut Looking In, a week ahead of the record's October 2nd release via Run For Cover Records. Named "essential Fall listening" by The FADER, Looking In is a dazzling record, repeatedly unfolding with new textures and delicate layering. Radcliffe has been performing under his own name since the beginning of 2013, keeping a low profile while allowing his music to speak for itself. Ever the prolific songwriter, this might be his official full length debut but Radcliffe is a busy musician with an impressive back catalog of solo projects (Blithe Field) and bands (Best Witches). Looking In offers something different however, a culmination of his efforts, a perfect balance for his warped pop songwriting and his gift for sonic experimentation. Following last year's much praised Brown Horse split with R.L. Kelly on Orchid Tapes, Radcliffe has expanded upon his songwriting with Looking In, occupying new territory amid flourishes of intimate noise pop and reflective experimentalism where songwriting remains the focus.

There's a lot to enjoy on Looking In, a dynamic record that pulls listeners in different directions. Speaking about the album, The FADER shared, "I can't decide which version of Radcliffe resonates with me most: the guy who's convinced all the worst is yet to come on "World's Disguise," or the one who thinks it's such an exciting time to be alive just one track later... That sort of hopeful/bummed tug-of-war often makes for the best art, especially when the uncertainty materializes as warm DIY rock full of disorienting quirks, like barely tuned strumming, baby-talk outros, and synths that sound like wind chimes."
