"The process of making Reflections: Vol. I was a lot more emotional than I had anticipated. All of the songs on the EP tackle a hard truth from not being satisfied with my career path at the time to my search for true, internal happiness,” explains Pattie. “All three of the songs were written when I was struggling with depression but each one has a different energy to it. Music has always been a way for me to understand my own emotions and this is especially true for this EP. I'm excited to be able to share this music with others in hopes that they can connect with the songs like I have."
In the first release off the upcoming EP, "Won't Be Young" is a symbiotic blending of indie-pop, rock, and a little bit of soul. Through honest statements and depth of imagery, Jon Pattie reveals a vulnerability that feels all too familiar. It's a poignant exploration of the path between who he is and who he wants to be.
On November 7th, Jon Pattie will release the first in a four-part EP series, Reflections Vol. I, that will give listeners an intimate glimpse into the chapters that make up "Jon Pattie." November 7th will also serve as Pattie's Houston, TX release show, as part of his Oct/Nov tour with Sam Hale. Tour dates are listed below.
