Deafheaven have shared their new song “Canary Yellow,” from their highly anticipated fourth album Ordinary Corrupt Human Love. The band’s second full-length for Anti-, Ordinary Corrupt Human Love will be released on July 13th.

Clocking in at over 12 minutes, the vast and epic “Canary Yellow” begins with ethereal textures and gauzy guitar tones, then lurches into a glorious assault of heavy riffs, thunderous rhythms, and the emotional howls of vocalist George Clarke. In its final moments, the song again changes form, giving way to gorgeous guitar melodies and beautifully haunting gang vocals (a sonic first for Deafheaven).

The follow-up to Deafheaven’s critically acclaimed 2015 album New BermudaOrdinary Corrupt Human Love finds the band expanding their sound with layered psychedelic vocals, jazz-inspired percussion, and intricate piano melodies. The album takes its title from Graham Greene’s The End of the Affair, reflecting a theme of hazy, yearning romanticism threaded throughout the songs.

Known for their transcendent live show, Deafheaven recently announced US tour dates in support of Ordinary Corrupt Human Love. The 30-date run begins July 11 at Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix and continues through August 18 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Additionally, Deafheaven has also announced their UK/EU tour this summer with Inter Alma as support.
