Nashville-based singer/songwriter, Lindsay Latimer, has released the Bodytalkr Remix of her song “I Blame You.” Watch the music video now below.
“I Blame You” comes off of her sophomore EP, Teenage Lullaby, released last fall.
On the remix, Latimer shares, “This song teeters on a mash-up of emotions. There’s love, but there’s something heavy attached. It’s a battlefield of sweet confessions in the veneer of a love song, but something precarious survives – something unsettling. There’s an obvious surrendering, but it’s tied up in an enigmatic mystique. This spunky remix pours adrenaline all over the original, while persevering its creamy delicacy. It’s both sweet and sour. It’ll make your head bop.”
With her buttery vocals and captivating hooks, Lindsay Latimer writes songs that tell stories of nostalgia, growing up, and relationships, while she gracefully skims the surfaces of pop, electronic, jazz, and classical – landing in a fresh sound of her own. After releasing her debut EP Grow Wild, which was overseen by Grammy award-winning engineer Chris Latham (Guy Clark, Brad Paisley), Teenage Lullaby broke the surface in a whole new genre, with new instrumentation, and with more intimate lyrics. Her producer Jeremy Lutito (LEAGUES, The New Respects, Ben Rector) is one of Nashville’s most coveted and as Lindsay likes to say, “dressed this song up in a new groovy outfit.”
