Nu Deco Ensemble Release New Single, "Honeybody" with Kishi Bashi

Today, Nu Deco Ensemble have released their new single "Honeybody" with Kishi Bashi. "Honeybody" is drawn from the Miami-based ensemble's debut album, slated for release on Saturday, November 9th. Produced in full by Kishi Bashi, the 8-track album includes genre-bending collaborations, re-imaginings of artists such as Outkast and Daft Punk and new music by some of today's most exciting living composers, including Sam Hyken and Andy Akiho among others.

"This album is our life work and we could not be more proud of it", says Nu Deco Ensemble co-founder and artistic director, Jacomo Bairos. "It has been a dream of ours 15 years in the making, and to finally have the opportunity to share it is so incredibly special for us."

The album announcement precedes the kickoff of Nu Deco Ensemble's 19/20 season, featuring collaborations with Wyclef Jean, PJ Morton, Robert Glasper, Hurray for the Riff Raff and Rev Run. A full list of performances can be found below, with more information available at https://nu-deco.org/.

Created by two of classical music's most in demand artists, Jacomo Bairos and Sam Hyken, Nu Deco Ensemble is a flexible and innovative hybrid orchestra that celebrates living composers, reimagines all genres of music and collaborates with a wide range of diverse musical guests, composers, choreographers, dancers and mixed media artists. Since its inception in 2015, the 30-piece ensemble has exploded onto Miami's eclectic musical scene, captivating audiences, engaging with its community and fusing innovative, genre-bending orchestral performances and collaborations with the highest levels of musical artistry.

With past guest artist collaborators such as Macy Gray, Ben Folds, Stephen Marley, Emily King, Anglique Kidjo, Cory Henry, BJ The Chicago Kid and more, Nu Deco Ensemble have earned themselves the accolade of "chamber orchestra for the 21st century" (The New York Times). Their boundary-pushing musical stylings have also been described as "sonically spellbinding" (Billboard) and "fiery, captivating and refreshingly original" (Saratoga Living).
