The Bloody Beetroots have remixed Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes’ track, “Why A Butterfly Can’t Love A Spider,” a riotous re-imagining of the End Of Suffering album opener.
“Sometimes your art collides with another artist and they are so moved by what you have created that it inspires them in their own path to build into your idea or make something brand new,” explains Carter on working with The Bloody Beetroots. “Sometimes your art collides with an artist who has inspired the art you have made over the years and that one moment brings you together in an act of love, respect and appreciation that is as rare as it is priceless. When Bob from The Bloody Beetroots messaged me about remixing a song from End Of Suffering all I could say was thank you. So here it is, the result of a conversation that was never had, between artists who continue to inspire each other, in the hope that it inspires a whole wave of younger artists to constantly reevaluate the rules and make art with energy and soul so that it can live longer than their own legacy.”
Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes released their sophomore album, End of Suffering, in May. The 12-song collection, with debuted at #4 on the UK album charts, was produced by Cam Blackwood (George Ezra/Jack Savoretti) and mixed by Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails/Queens Of The Stone Age). Revolver said Carter is “one of rock’s most electrifying frontmen,” NME awarded the album four stars, and Kerrang, in another four star review, described the music as “nakedly emotional.”
Carter recently canceled a planned North American tour due to injuries suffered in a head-on collision. On the mend from the Sept. 19 accident, The Rattlesnakes return to the road on Oct. 28, launching a month-long European tour. The band is planning a return to U.S. shores in 2020.
