Last month grandson shared the no apologies live EP – a collection of six live tracks recorded in Los Angeles and Toronto along his sold-out “No Apologies” tour. no apologies live EP is available now at all DSPs. Furthermore, grandson also released a cover of Rage Against The Machine’s “Maria.” Having previously worked with Rage Against The Machine’s guitarist Tom Morello, grandson deconstructed the 1999 track, which details the harrowing life of a Mexican immigrant living in America. grandson’s cover of “Maria” is streaming now on YouTube with an official visualizer and at all DSPs.

a modern tragedy vol. 2 follows grandson’s Fueled By Ramen debut EP, a modern tragedy vol. 1, and is an exploration into the heart, into addiction, into power, into disillusionment, and into accepting who you are and not compromising. Marking some of his most personal work to date, a modern tragedy vol. 2 touches on the environment around grandson and serves as a commentary on gun violence, on apathy and sensationalized media, on truth and martyrdom.
a modern tragedy vol. 1, released last summer, finds grandson confronting some of the most pressing political and social issues impacting his generation, provoking discourse through a powerful union of art and activism. The five-song EP, which has garnered over 75 million streams, is highlighted by the lead single “Blood // Water”. The track’s official music video – directed by Ride or Cry – is streaming now via the official Fueled By Ramen YouTube channel HERE. Furthermore, grandson made his network television debut with a performance of “Blood // Water” on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, streaming HERE.
In addition, an official video for the EP’s “6:00” premiered via Billboard who declared, “ he’s making music to send a message — and his latest video is no exception.” Directed by Gus Black, the clip was released in conjunction with Campaign Zero, an activist campaign dedicated to eradicating police violence in America. “6:00” can be viewed now via the official grandson YouTube channel HERE.
