SoCal alt-rockers Dirty Heads have announced new tour dates following the release of their seventh studio album, Super Moon (Five Seven Records). The tour will kick off on November 10 in Minneapolis, MN at First Avenue. Tickets will go on sale Friday, Sept. 20th here
Super Moon, called their “most groundbreaking” album yet by OC Weekly, was produced by four-time Grammy®-winning Nashville, Tennessee-based super producer Dave Cobb (A Star is Born soundtrack, Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson), will be available on vinyl November 15 and can be ordered here.
The album features the laid-back stoner anthem “Lift Me Up,” “a classic Dirty Heads weed song,” says vocalist Jared Watson, and the title track, “Super Moon,” which he describes as “a 70’s sci-fi kung fu Western car chase soundtrack,” and the melodic “Fear and Love” written about the irony that both are connected instead of opposites. Dirty Heads are rolling out a series of videos telling the story behind all the tracks on the album on their Facebook page, featuring Watson. Watch them here.
